A HISTORICAL UNBEATEN T20 WORLD CUP WIN FOR INDIA IN 2024

  After a drought of 11 years India won the 2024 T20 world cup . Though ICC holds a tournament almost every year but we must realize that it not easy for India or any other country to win an ICC Trophy every year. West Indies is the only country to win two  T20 world cups back to back in 2012 and 2016. Following it is India to have won the inaugural T20 World cup in 2007 and then in 2024 , England won it twice, one in 2010 and then in 2022.  India remained  unbeaten in all the matches even though the final was extremely close with South Africa. Though Indian captain Rohit Sharma could not score well in the finals but in most of the matches he gave a good start with a lot of fours and sixes along with rest of the batsmen, also the bowlers bowled well including. R Ashwin, Bumrah  and Ravindra Jadeja .   I remember that in some matches batsmen couldnot score many runs but it was the  bowlers who helped India to win the match. In the final match again...

Should India go to Pakistan to play Champions Trophy?

  Should India go to Pakistan to play Champions trophy? ICC has allotted Pakistan to be the host for   Champions Trophy in February 2025 . But security of Indian team in Pakistan is the main issue. I have heard that some of the senior players do not want to go but they find it hard to say it publicly. Since I have started to watch cricket ( from 2009 onwards) Indian cricket team   has never been to Pakistan to play any match, however Pakistan has   come to India to play a few times and recently last year to play the world cup .These 2 nations play only in ICC tournaments or in Asia cup . What I find inspiring are the stories I have   heard about the two teams   like   once when Virender Sehwag had gone to shop for a pair of shoes in Pakistan , the shopkeeper refused to take any money from him. Also what Javed Miandad calls ‘the best tour of his team’ when during the Bangalore test both the teams were staying in the same hotel and celebrated ‘Holi’ ...

WORLD CUP 2011 - by KAVISH

 I would like to express my opinion about India's second win in the world cup 2011 . India  won the world cup for the second time after 28 years. The first win was in 1983. I was only 11 years old and  It was my first world cup ,not knowing about the significance of winning a world cup i wondered why everyone was sooo happy. The entire team wanted to dedicate the win to Sachin Tendulkar as it was his last world cup. I clearly  remember that in 2007 ODI  world cup after being knocked out by Bangladesh, Sachin had thought of retirement and  It took lot of convincing by his brother to  continue playing the game. Also when all the senior players had opted not to play the first T20 world cup that year which later India won under the captaincy of young MS Dhoni  . Hence This world cup was very special to all of the team but more to  Sachin   who didnot move from his chair  until the last winning six  was played . Also coach Gary...
